Lok Sabha Elections 2014

On 10 April 2014, there were Lok Sabha Elections in Delhi. Elections are a great franchise. It is the greatest form of Democracy. I went to the polling booth of our locality with Mama, Papa and Gurbani. The polling booth is Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Rajouri Garden. It is a Government School.

It is a sign that you have voted once and that you cannot vote again. It is put on the fingers of adults mainly, as people who are above 18 years and have a voter ID card can only vote, but children can also put ink on their fingers.

There were two polling agents, who cut of the names of the people who came and voted. There was an uncle who put ink on the nails of our left index finger. It is a sign that you have voted once and that you cannot vote again. It is put on the fingers of adults mainly, as people who are above 18 years and have a voter ID card can only vote, but children can also put ink on their fingers.
There were some other people who had different jobs. Usually, the polling booths are full, but on these elections, our polling booth was almost empty.

Every adult must go to vote as it is their right, and everyone should practise their rights. Some of the major political parties are Congress, BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party), BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) and AAP (Aam Aadmi Party). In these elections, many candidates were actors like Kirron Kher from BJP in Chandigarh, Gul Panag From AAP in Chandigarh, etc.

There is a Bollywood Movie Named Bhoothnath Returns, which is based on politics and voting and why everyone should go to vote. In These Elections, BJP’s candidate for the West Delhi seat was Parvesh Sharma, Congress’s candidate was Mahabal Mishra, and AAP’s candidate was Jarnail Singh.
