An Adventure in El Dorado – A Short Fiction Story

I was browsing books in a library when I found a face in a shelf. I touched the face and I was sucked by something magical. And then I was sucked into the gap into a whole new world. When the light faded away, I found myself in a Forest. I decided to go ahead and after 5 minutes, found myself facing a river with big green-brown crocodiles in it. I found a log lying on the ground and after a lot of pushing and rolling, I made a bridge and went to the other side. While on the bridge a crocodile tried to attack me and it was a near miss. When I finally reached the other side of the river I found a dead end which was covered with bushes and swarming with snakes and insects. I tried to remove them by poking them with a branch but in vain. One snake had shifted from his place but hadn’t fallen from the bush so I could see through that small hole and behind it I saw a village, where houses were made of gold and there were very few people but all of them were happy. Every house had a big farm next to it which had cinnamon sown in it. There was also a very big temple in the exact center of the village and I recognized it at once to be El Dorado, a mythical land of gold and cinnamon. But just then the snakes got violent probably because I had poked them and attacked me, so I ran as fast as I could and while running I fell into a hole and a second later, I found myself back in the library. Everything was like it was when I was sucked in. I turned around to check the time and saw that not even a minute had passed whereas I had spent an hour in the jungle. Then I realized that it was something magical that transported me from one place and time period to another through a time machine and transported me back through the hole I fell into.

My favourite books are the Harry Potter series. It is a series of seven books. The books in order with the days in which I read them in are-:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- 14.Jan.2015 o 21.Jan.2015

I started reading it on 21.Jan.2014 and ended it on 21.Jan.2015. I ordered five of the seven books from Flipkart.com and two from Amazon.in. I got into reading Harry Potter when once my cousin came into my home and brought a Harry Potter book with him and suggested. And approximately one month after that, I ordered the first part, Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone from Flipkart. I read it and liked it, so I ordered all the parts one by one and now, I have read the whole collection. It is a very fun book and I suggest you read it.

Thank you J.K. Rowling for introducing people to an imaginary world full of magic.

Geronimo Stilton is a fictional story writer. His books are always funny and humorous. He lives in New Mouse City, the capital of Mouse Island. He is the publisher of The Rodent’s Gazette, the most famouse newspaper on Mouse Island. He has written over 150 adventure tales. His sister’s name is Thea Stilton; his cousin’s name is Trap Stilton and his nephew’s name is Benjamin Stilton.

He uses words like famouse for famous, enormouse for enormous, fabumouse for fabulous and Mouse Everest for Mount Everest.

Harry Potter is my favourite book series. It is a series of seven fictional books all authored by J.K Rowling, which has also been adapted into eight films, as the last book has been adapted into two parts. It is the bestselling book series in history. The main themes in the book are magic and fantasy. The first book in the series is “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” and the last book in the series is “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. In the films Harry Potter is portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe.

Harry Potter is a wizard who is orphaned by Lord Voldemort, the darkest wizard ever. Voldemort also tried to kill Harry using the Avada Kedavra Curse (Killing Curse), but it left nothing but a lightning-shaped scar on Harry’s forehead. Harry learns on his eleventh birthday that he is a wizard, and the only wizard ever to defeat Voldemort that too at the tender age of just one year!!! He defeated Voldemort because Lily Potter, Harry’s mother sacrificed her own life for Harry.

He studies Magic at “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry”. His books involve his years at Hogwarts and his escapes from Voldemort. I am a big fan of Harry Potter.
