Have you ever wondered that why does your computer or laptop has C drive D drive and so on but no A or B Drive? Now in the computers the drives start from C Drive and the second drive is D, if you put USB, E drive also comes and so on. But where are the A and B Drives. The answer is that they were used at the time of Floppy Disks i.e. circa 1990s which are now almost obsolete. They were used for accessing the Floppy Disks’ content. Maybe A Drive was for 5.25 inch floppy disks and B Drive was for 3.50 inch Floppy Disks. The 5.25 inch floppy could store only 1.2 MB and the 3.50 inch floppy could store only 400 KB of data.
